Blackthorn flowers


A check today revealed the first of the Blackthorn flowers are open, it seems to have been a long time coming but this marks the arrival of spring for me.

Also today first Red Admiral butterfly among the trees. In the sunnier spots Peacocks seem plentiful, I counted six. Also a couple of Commas.
Lots of Buff-tailed Bumblebees and  a chance encounter with a Bloody-nosed Beetle
