In search of butterflies

The paucity of butterflies continues to be apparent.  In spite of bright warm sunshine on the meadow at the south slope of the clump.

I managed to spot a couple of Meadow Browns and single Large White.
The Skippers are begining to appear, i was fortunate to see two specimens.

For a chance of seeing Dragonflies, I walked to the Dewpond and sat on the pond bank.
Four Broad-bodied Chasers are present there, two males and two females, engaged in mating activity. Another species is also in flight over the pond. I didn’t get a close view but its slender abdomen appeared to be blue in colour.
